Writer's Nest 6-Week Workshop
Launched in 2020 and now offered three times each year, Writer’s Nest is a 6-week creative writing workshop for songwriters, poets, storytellers, and writers of all experience levels who want to strengthen their craft, spark new ideas, and build a sustainable creative practice. Participants meet weekly on Zoom for engaging sessions featuring writing prompts, creative exercises, discussion, collaboration, and encouragement in a supportive creative community. Writers also receive valuable lead sheets and creative resources to support their artistic development.
Whether you write songs, poems, essays, or stories, Writer’s Nest provides opportunities to create original work, explore new approaches to storytelling, and connect with fellow creatives. The workshop culminates in a showcase concert presented both in person and online, giving participants the opportunity to share their work, celebrate their growth, and inspire others through the power of story and song.

Personal Development
Our online personal growth workshops are designed to inspire reflection, resilience, and renewal. Each 4 to 6 week series meets weekly and includes guided journaling, meditation, and group discussions centered around empowering books and themes. These sessions provide a supportive space for participants to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore tools for living a more intentional and creative life. Creative Writing
Our online songwriting and creative writing workshops offer a vibrant space for storytellers, poets, and songwriters to connect, create, and grow. Through our Poet’s Corner gatherings, participants share original poems or read aloud pieces that inspire them, fostering a sense of community through the power of words. Our flagship Writer’s Nest is a six-week immersive experience where participants respond to weekly prompts by crafting new songs or original written pieces. This workshop culminates in a powerful in-person and online showcase, giving writers the chance to celebrate their work and share it with a supportive audience. Whether you’re honing your craft or finding your voice, these workshops, and the songwriters and authors we hire to conduct them, invite you to show up, dig deep, and create from the heart.
Music Instruction & More
Our online music instruction and music business workshops offer accessible, high-quality education for musicians of all levels. Whether you’re just picking up an instrument or refining advanced skills, we provide engaging lessons in mandolin, ukulele, harmonica, and guitar — both beginner and advanced. In addition to instrumental instruction, we offer in-depth music theory courses and music business workshops designed to help artists navigate the creative and professional aspects of their craft. Taught by experienced musicians and educators, these classes are perfect for anyone looking to deepen their musical knowledge, develop new techniques, and grow their musicianship with a supportive community.

The OYOU Creative Arts Workshops at Wilory Farm offer low-cost or free opportunities for individuals of all ages to explore their creativity in a welcoming, hands-on environment. Set against the serene backdrop of Wilory Farm, these workshops feature a wide variety of engaging projects—including mosaics, painting, collage, vision boards, dream catchers, jar terrariums, and even faux cacti made from painted rocks. Participants have also painted affirmations on stones, decorated birdhouses, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just discovering your creative spark, these workshops provide a joyful space for self-expression, community connection, and artistic exploration without financial barriers.
Song Circles
OYOU Song Circles are collaborative, workshop-style gatherings for ages 10 and up designed to help participants improve their musicianship, develop original songs, and grow as artists in a supportive community. Songs are shared in a circle format, with each participant taking a turn leading an original song or a cover tune out of our songbook. Members are encouraged to listen actively, support one another, and contribute in ways that enhancen the person leading the song.
Whether you’re sharing a new song, exploring ideas, or building confidence as a performer, Song Circles provide a welcoming space for creative exchange, constructive feedback, and artistic growth. By keeping participation simple, respectful, and focused on the music, participants create an environment where creativity flourishes and everyone has the opportunity to learn, connect, and be heard.
